IT’S goodbye to the summer delights of Wexford strawberries, county shows and evening tennis for Athy woman Charmaine Kenny, as she heads back to India.
Charmaine worked as a volunteer in slum schools in Calcutta for three months in 2003. This summer, she returns to India with Suas Educational D e v e l o p m e n t (www.suas.ie) coordinating a group of 20 Irish volunteers who will work with local teachers in providing education to some of the world’s most underprivileged children.
